Insula-Dome™ Skylights Rolls-out Enhanced Product Line, Announces New Standard Sizes
Yaphank, NY and Chester, CT…
Insula-Dome™ Skylights, one of North America’s leading manufacturers of high quality skylights with facilities in Yaphank, New York and Chester, Connecticut, is rolling out a new and enhanced product line. According to Insula-Dome Skylights Director of Sales and Marketing Peter Kroes, “The line integrates the best features of Insula-Dome skylights with those of the former Roto-Frank line.” In 2005, Insula-Dome had acquired the operating assets of the Roto Frank of America’s Roof Window manufacturing division, a subsidiary of Roto Frank AG, a worldwide renowned manufacturer of roof windows and fenestration hardware products. Among the features distinguishing this Insula-Dome line from it major competitor’s product line are their larger daylight and ventilation areas and multiple design features affording the industry’s fastest installation.
Insula-Dome’s new line, which includes its Insulator Series, Sunrise Series, Pro-Fixed, Specialized Application and various Custom Designs, offers enhanced performance features across all critical areas including weather resistance, design aesthetics, versatility for diverse applications, and ease of installation achieved through a full range of flashing options and accessories. In addition to the product line enhancements, the Company also announced that it is now producing its Insulator Series and Sunrise Series in 20 standard sizes with custom sizes also available on various models upon request. In addition, the Insulator Series is being offered in a Drop-in model and the Sunrise Series is being offered in a Deck-Mount model.
Among the features highlighted in Insula-Dome Skylights’ new product literature are the skylights’ heavy gauge aluminum outer extrusion which creates a completely rain and weather resistant sash; state-of-the-art welded PVC corners for additional weather-tightness; two energy-efficient Low-E Argon-filled glazing options in either Insulator II Tempered over Tempered safety glass, and Tempered over Laminated safety glass. Bronze Laminated Glass is available upon request. Copper perimeter flashing on the pitched Insulator units; convenient curb; pre-grooved for easy installation with sheetrock, natural wood or other materials; specially-designed operator chain on venting models; pre-installed mounting brackets to facilitate deck-mount installation on the Sunrise Series; and multiple flashing options from step-flashing in aluminum and copper, to flashing for tile and metal roofs, built-up flashing, head-sill combinations and U-channels are also provided.
On the aesthetics side, there are knot-free clear furniture grade pine veneer frames which can be stained to any natural wood finish or painted to match a room’s interior color. Also provided is a convenient finish return for easy installation using sheetrock, natural wood or other materials, as well as a hardware cover to conceal a unit’s operating hardware. Factory-installed screens and channels on venting units further facilitate easy installation.
The Company’s two special deck-mounted Pro-Fixed™ sizes are provided for truss construction with paint shields and primed frames. In addition to the Pro-Fixed skylights, specialty products such as the Succah SkyHatch, new and retrofit Skylights for Built-up Curbs, Roof hatches and Roof Access Skylights as well as our custom skylights, are available to continue meeting customer-driven and specific application area needs.
Insula-Dome has streamlined its inventory to better address market demands. The Company is producing the most popular 20 sizes as standard sizes for its Insulator Series and Sunrise Series, but will continue to accommodate special request with custom sizes on various models. The product line is complemented with a comprehensive line of accessories. Furthermore, Insula-Dome is uniquely positioned to provide replacement tops/sashes for both its own product line and that of other manufacturers – even for products no longer being manufactured, making the company a one stop shopping resource for all residential skylight needs.
